Zach Agnos ready for Spring Training, chance to make Rockies

by | Feb 13, 2025

Why not Zach Agnos?

Every year, we hear about an unexpected player who turns heads and makes a ballclub after an impressive Spring Training. ECU alum Zach Agnos could be that guy.

Thomas Harding with MLB.com covers the Rockies and talked about how at least three prospects could make the Colorado Rockies’ opening-day roster: Caron Palmquist, Chase Dollander and Agnos, the organization’s No. 28 prospect.

Agnos received a non-roster invite to Spring Training, which kicks off for the Rockies on Thursday.

“He has the right emotion — get amped up but not overamped,” Rockies coordinator of pitching strategies Flint Wallace said to MLB.com. “He has that ‘it’ factor. It’s hard to describe, but he seems to have that factor.”
