Week 5 of the UFL season saw a couple of upsets of sorts.

The DC Defenders rallied to beat the Arlington Renegades, 37-33. DC features former J.H. Rose High School star Cornell Powell. Arlington has former ECU stars QB Holton Ahlers, WR Isaiah Winstead and OL Garrett McGhin.
Powell finished with four catches for 89 yards and a touchdown for DC (4-1). Ahlers did not record any stats, McGhin started and Winstead had three catches for 67 yards for the Renegades (3-2).
The Memphis Showboats knocked off the Birmingham Stallions, 24-20 in overtime. Former ECU football coach Skip Holtz leads the Stallions. The Stallions rallied with 11 points in the final quarter to force overtime but lost it when Memphis scored first.
