East Carolina alum and Toronto Blue Jays prospect Trey Yesavage will pitch in the first game of a doubleheader Wednesday for the New Hampshire River Cats. He’ll do so with a new distinction.
Savage has moved into MLB Pipeline’s top-10 list for right-handed pitchers. He moved into the spot with Kumar Rocker now in the majors, according to BlueJaysNation.com.
Yesavage will pitch in his second game for New Hampshire, a Double-A team, after he was promoted from Vancouver, a High-A team. In his last start, he gave up a run in four innings with four walks and four strikeouts.
