by | Apr 26, 2025

Trey Yesavage didn’t get the win, but the East Carolina alum did just about everything else.

Yesavage took a perfect game into the fifth inning and ended up with a near-perfect outing. Dunedin rallied for a 4-2 win in 10 innings over the Tampa Tarpons. The win was the fifth in the last seven games for the Blue Jays.

Yesavage pitched 4.2 innings, gave up two runs on a hit and two walks with 10 strikeouts. He left with the game tied at 2-2. It was the second straight start where he was perfect in the first four innings with 10 or more strikeouts.

He sat down the first 13 batters he faced and topped out at 96.2 mph on his pitches. He also had 16 swing-and-misses on 36 chances.

Over his first minor league starts, his stats include:

  • 17.1 innings
  • 3.12 ERA
  • 28 strikeouts
  • 8 walks
  • 0.98 WHIP
  • Opponents batting .153

He also has 20 strikeouts over his past 9.2 innings.
