The Brian Bailey Show: ECU softball coach Shane Winkler, Hurricanes talk

by | May 12, 2025

Monday’s edition of “The Brian Bailey Show” will take a look at the recent run of the East Carolina softball team.

The Pirates advanced to the semifinals of last week’s AAC Tournament with wins over Memphis and Charlotte. ECU lost to South Florida in the semis to see its season come to an end. Bailey will talk with head coach Shane Winkler about the tournament, the completed season and what’s next for the program.

The talk continues with CBS 17’s Todd Gibson, who will talk with Bailey about the Hurricanes’ Game 4 of the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs with the Washington Capitals. Carolina won 4-0 on Saturday to take a 2-1 series lead.

The Brian Bailey Show airs each Monday at noon with a replay at 6 p.m. You can reach Bailey on X or at bbailey@wnct.com.
