Gavin Williams made his Spring debut!
It looks like Williams has changed up his slider yet again, and this time it might be even better! The offering is a few ticks slower but it getting significantly more sweep and drop than last season
Oh, and his fastball is still great! pic.twitter.com/hHtZYzbP5Y

A healthy Gavin Williams is very very scary for opposing team.#ForTheLand pic.twitter.com/iVlKwggaXe

Those two innings are why I’m so high on a year 3 breakout for Gavin Williams
Averaged 97 on his fastball, topped out at 98, and his spin rates were up across the board

If Gavin stays healthy and resumes the development he made in 2023, the Guardians’ rotation has the potential to be one of the better ones in A-L in 2025. If Bieber comes back as Bieber, along with Bibee and Williams as your 1-2-3, then we’re probably playing Oct baseball again. https://t.co/LlaCbzbRvY

Lunsford-Shenkman shines again
ECU alumni and Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Wyatt Lunsford-Shenkman had his second Spring Training outing on Wednesday in an 8-5 loss to the Athletics.
He came on with two outs in the seventh inning after teammate Tyler Cleveland hit a batter to load the bases then walked the next batter to give the A’s an 8-4 lead. Shenkman forced a ground out to end the seventh. In the eighth forced a pop out and ground out between striking out a batter.
He didn’t give up a hit in his first outing on Sunday.
