The Baltimore Ravens held OTAs this past week. East Carolina football alum Keaton Mitchell looked like he’s ready for the upcoming season, according to Sports Illustrated.
Baltimore Ravens reporter Ryan Mink listed 10 standouts from OTAs with Mitchell impressing and reminding people of the player he was before he tore his ACL in Week 15 of the 2023 season.
Mink wrote in part, “(Mitchell) appears to be back to his rookie form this offseason, showing noticeably different explosion during individual drills and turning the corner on outside runs in team drills.”
Mitchell had 30 yards on 15 carries and a catch for 29 yards last season after returning to play in the last five regular-season games and two playoff games. However, the team was cautious in how they used him.
According to SI.com’s Zach Dimmitt, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is hopeful Mitchell will continue his progress.
“I do think [Mitchell] has been on schedule; he’s been on track,” Harbaugh said. “That was a really tough injury. So, the fact that he got back when he did was, to me, almost miraculous that he was out there playing at all. I’m almost certain, as much as you can be sure, he’s going to be [on] a whole other level coming back in the spring and then again into training camp, because he is going to be a year and a half out of that deal.”
