Shavon Revel: From Amazon to a Dallas Cowboys prospect

by | May 3, 2025

Shavon Revel Jr.’s road to the NFL has been an interesting one.

It’s been documented how he worked at Amazon in Duplin County with his father when he was younger. Now, he’s a member of the Dallas Cowboys after being drafted in the third round a week ago last Saturday (April 26).

“Job ain’t finished,” Revel said, according to DallasCowboys.com staff writer Tomy Yarrish. “I still have to go out there and prove myself to the coaches. I’ve got to go out there and show them what I have. You can always talk, at the end of the day, you’ve got to prove to the coaches what you can do.”

Yarrish writes about how Revel is progressing from surgery on his left ACL after injuring his knee three games into his senior season. In fact, the surgery was done by Cowboys team doctor Dan Cooper.

“He did an extraordinary job on my knee,” Revel said to Yarrish. “For me to be walking the week after my surgery should tell it all. All the connections that he had just helped me connect with other people and open up opportunities for me to help me know more about the facility and the Cowboys.”
