Report: UNC’s new GM getting $1.5 million salary, title is “Academic Coordinator”

The University of North Carolina’s new football general manager is getting a tidy sum of money for his new role.

Inside Carolina’s Ross Martin reported on X that Michael Lombardi’s salary is $1.5 million, “per the UNC Salary Information Database.” He also said Lombardi’s “working title” is “Academic Coordinator.”

On3.com also reports, “The idea is to build the program from the inside out, starting with the offensive line. The logic behind that philosophy is something that Lombardi recently explained.”
