East Carolina University alumni and former safeties coach Tripp Weaver is set to become the next co-defensive coordinator at West Georgia.
FootballScoop.com posted the news Wednesday on its X account. The report states “Weaver will work closely with new UWG (University of West Georgia) defensive coordinator Woody Blevins.”
Weaver has also worked at Austin Peay and James Madison and will likely work with linebackers or safeties, FootballScoop.com reports.
At Austin Peay in 2024, Weaver’s defense had a conference-best 72 tackles for loss and allowed less than 26 points a game.
