Pirates in baseball: Two former Pirates help Renegades pick up win

by | Apr 25, 2025

It was a rather quiet night for the former East Carolina baseball players playing professionally. However, two of them helped their team to a win on Thursday.

Josh Moylan was 0-for-3 with a run scored and two walks in his team’s 9-4 win over Asheville. Josh Grosz started and pitched the first four innings. He gave up a run on two hits with three walks and six strikeouts.

Grosz didn’t factor in the decision despite Hudson Valley getting seven of its runs in the first two innings he pitched. Grosz lowered his ERA to 3.09 with the performance.

Zach Agnos

He didn’t pitch in Game 1 of the Rockies’ doubleheader, a 7-4 loss to Royals. But as he did in his first pro appearance, he did pitch in the second game. He up a hit with two outs in the 7th inning of his team’s 6-2 loss to Royals.

He still owns a 0.00 ERA.
