With all that East Carolina baseball alum Trey Yesavage has accomplished in his short stint with High-A Vancouver, he can now finally add a win to his resume.
Trey Yesavage continues to be a … savage.

He went five innings and gave up one run in a 10-1 victory over Tri-City. He finished with nine strikeouts and one walk. His only mistake was giving up a solo homer in the fourth, along with one other hit.
It was his third game with nine strikeouts in his last four starts. He had five strikeouts in his third start with Vancouver. Surprisingly, he had not picked up a win in three previous starts, going four innings twice and 4.1 innings in his last outing before Friday.
He is now 4-0 with a 2.13 ERA in 11 starts over 50.2 innings. He has 88 strikeouts and 19 walks with a 0.85 WHIP, giving up 16 runs, 12 earned, on 24 hits.
Fellow ECU alum Carter Cunningham did not play in Friday’s game.

The Toronto Blue Jays reliever looked like the closer we’ve grown to love on Friday.
The East Carolina baseball alum struck out three of the four batters he faced to nail down a 6-4 win over the Twins for his 14th save of the season. He also dropped his ERA to 5.53.
Hoffman struck out the first two batters before walking Byron Buxton. Hoffman then struck out Trevor Larnach on a foul tip to end it.
It was his first save of June. He’s 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in three appearances over 2.1 innings.
