East Carolina alum Trey Yesavage had another solid start for the Vancouver Canadians but did not get the decision again.

Saturday’s 1-0 win over Hillsboro showcased his longest outing with Vancouver. He pitched four innings in each of his first two starts, also no-decisions. He went 4.1 innings, this time with no runs, no hits, five strikeouts and four walks. He struck out the first batter in the fifth then walked two straight to end his night.
Hillsboro broke up the no-hitter in the seventh inning.
Yesavage’s only real flaw so far has been the number of walks he’s given up. While he is the 2025 minor league leader in strikeouts (84 in 50 innings, according to Minor League Baseball), he’s walked 10 in his last three starts at Vancouver. That comes after walking just two over his previous six starts at Dunedin.
He did drop his ERA from 2.25 to 1.59 with Saturday’s outing.
Fellow ECU alum and Vancouver teammate Carter Cunningham played at first base and was 0-for-2 with a walk.
Ryan McCrystal
He had his best outing of the season in Daytona’s 14-12 loss to Jupiter in 11 innings.
Playing catcher, he was 4-for-6 with three runs and four RBI. He doubled twice and hit his third homer of the season. He hit a ground-rule double in the first inning to drive in Daytona’s first run. He later scored to cut Jupiter’s lead to 5-3.
He had a bunt single in the fourth and scored to give Daytona a 7-6 lead. He hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 11th as Daytona tried to rally after Jupiter scored four runs in the top half of the inning.
