“Corey embodies true winning intangibles,” head coach Michael Schwartz said. “He’s a terrific student and a terrific teammate. He’s coming from one of the best junior colleges in the country in Eastern Florida where he was very well coached by Coach Thomas Gray.”
The Sterling, Va. native scored in double figures in 20 of his 28 games played with Eastern Florida State and scored in double figures in his last eight games played on the year including a season-high 28 points on six made threes.
“As a true dribble, pass, and shoot point guard, his speed and playmaking ability will immediately affect winning,” Schwartz added. “He’s had a chip on his shoulder throughout his career, and that’s something that will resonate very well with Pirate Nation.”
Prior to playing at Eastern Florida State, Caulker spent his freshman season at Northern Virginia Community College, where he averaged 23.8 points and 4.5 assists in 23 games played.
