The New York Yankees may not be the best team in the majors, but the prospects in the farm system could help them get back to that elite level soon.
In fact, the Hudson Valley High-A team is loaded with starting pitchers, including East Carolina alum Josh Grosz. Although the Renegades’ game with Jersey Shore on Sunday was rained out, NJ.com was able to report on the pitchers who are making an impact.
When talking about Grosz, the website wrote in part, “Potential breakout candidate. Love the body and the pure tools. Power sinker, slider and changeup combo. Like him as a solid depth starter, a swingman. Had a rough outing in my look this week [seven runs allowed over 4 2/3 innings on Thursday against Jersey Shore, the Phillies’ High-A affiliate], but there’s a lot to like.”
