Jeff Hoffman joined the Toronto Blue Jays in the offseason on a three-year deal.
He’s with the team with the hopes of becoming the closer after a couple of seasons in Philadelphia as a reliever.
Hoffman started with the Blue Jays in 2015, pitching with the Dunedin Blue Jays. Not long after that, he was part of a trade to Colorado for shortstop Troy Tulowitzki.
“Didn’t want to go to Colorado and deal with all that s—-’’ he said to Rosie DiManno of the Toronto Star, apologizing for the mild cuss. “It’s hard to pitch there.’’ Meaning the thin dry air and altitude that makes Coors Field a hitters’ paradise. “It was a crazy time.’’
