East Carolina alum and Toronto Blue Jays prospect Trey Yesavage is already having a memorable first season in the minor leagues.
He’s already been promoted from Low-A Dunedin to High-A Vancouver. In two starts with Vancouver, he’s 0-0 with a 2.25 ERA in two starts with two runs, three hits, 19 strikeouts and six walks in eight innings. That comes after he was 3-0 at Dunedin with a 2.43 ERA in seven starts with nine earned runs on 19 hits, 55 strikeouts and eight walks in 33.1 innings.
JaysJournal.com, a FanSided website that’s all things Toronto Blue Jays, ranked the top 10 prospects in the minor leagues that have futures with the Jays. They currently have Yesavage at No. 2.
“Yesavage was the Blue Jays first round pick in last year’s MLB Draft, and he’s looked every bit of it this year,” writes Baron Dionis.
