Former ECU star football player Shavon Revel Jr. is on the cusp of something big.
He’s being mentioned among the top NFL draft prospects despite tearing his left ACL early in the Pirates’ 2024 season. He had surgery and is expected to make a full recovery, his doctor recently diagnosed.

Revel is at the NFL Combine this week at Lucas Oil Stadium. He can’t work out but he can sit in with teams to talk football, which he has done a lot, according to the New York Times.
Dane Brugler writes a full expose on Revel, saying his size (6-foot-2) and speed (4.3 seconds in 40-yard dash) make him a desired prospect for many teams.
“There were a lot of points where I could’ve given up,” Revel told The Athletic. “But I can’t give up on the sport I love.”
