Former ECU star Bryson Worrell retires from pro baseball

Former ECU baseball star Bryson Worrell has announced his retirement, according to two sources on X.

Stripers Report and MLB Roster News reported the news.

Worrell spent his whole three-year tenure in the Braves system after signing as an undrafted free agent.

At ECU, he batted .299 (197-for-658) with 40 home runs and 138 RBI. He also had 140 runs, stole 26 bases and had 85 extra base hits (38 doubles, seven triples, 40 home runs), according to ECUPirates.com.
