After consecutive weekends away from Greenville, East Carolina returns to Lewis Field at Clark-LeClair Stadium April 25-27 for an American Athletic Conference series versus Tulane.
The teams kick off the three-game set Friday at 6 p.m., reconvene Saturday at 4 p.m. and wrap things up Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Pirates (24-17, 9-6 AAC) were scheduled to face No. 25 NC State Tuesday night in Raleigh, but Mother Nature had other plans, and the game was canceled by mutual consent of the coaching staffs. The contest will not be rescheduled.
ECU, a winner in four of its last five, is tied with Charlotte and Florida Atlantic for third place in the league standings with Tulane just a game behind in sixth. The top eight teams qualify for the conference tournament May 20-25 in Clearwater, Fla.
The Pirates are hitting a collective .272 with 57 doubles, two triples, 45 home runs, 186 walks drawn and 48 stolen bases. Braden Burress paces the lineup and ranks second in the league in both batting average (.424) and on base percentage (.526). In terms of the pitching staff, East Carolina is limiting opposing hitters to a .241 batting average and has compiled an AAC third-best 4.58 earned run average with 392 strikeouts and 172 walks in 356.0 innings. The Pirates currently slot eighth nationally in sacrifice bunts (36), 29th in pitching strikeouts per nine innings (9.9), 36th in fewest hits allowed per nine innings (8.32), 48th in ERA and 49th in fielding percentage (.976). Individually, Burress is 10th in the county in batting average and 18th in on base percentage.

About Tulane
The Green Wave (24-17, 8-7 AAC), who had their midweek game at No. 22 Southern Miss canceled due to inclement weather, heads to Greenville after dropping two of three to league leader UTSA in San Antonio. Tulane had the opportunity to hand the Roadrunners their first series loss of conference play, but UTSA won the rubber game by a 25-7 score in seven innings. The Green Wave is hitting .275 as a team with 96 doubles, eight triples and 33 home runs as well as 198 walks drawn and 32 stolen bases. Tulane’s pitchers have combined for a 5.97 ERA with 409 strikeouts and 197 walks in 357.0 innings. The Green Wave is 5-9 in true road games this season.

Tulane leads the all-time series with East Carolina 40-37 after sweeping the Pirates in New Orleans last season. The Green Wave have won four straight over ECU, including an 8-6 victory in the 2023 AAC Tournament championship game.
