The East Carolina men’s basketball program has announced the addition of Jaylen Bond as an assistant coach.

Bond comes to ECU from the University of Albany. He was there since 2024 after the completion of his role as a graduate assistant coach at Temple. Before that, he played college basketball at Texas and Temple.
As a player, according to the University of Albany website, Bond is a former All-AAC Tournament Team selection at Temple. He averaged 8.9 points and 8.2 rebounds per game in two years at Temple. He ranked in the top 40 nationally in offensive boards both seasons.
He spent two seasons at Texas, where he played 54 games and averaged 3.1 points and 4.1 rebounds.
