ECU football is one of 10 schools to be nominated for the Uniswag Throwback Uniform of the Year.

Voting began Wednesday and runs through Friday. It’s part of the Big Game Football Factory. The winner will be announced on March 10.

The other nine teams are North Carolina, South Carolina, Colorado State, BYU, Illinois, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Southern Cal and Utah. Each of the 10 teams won the weekly award, making it a candidate for the overall award.

The awards are a yearly event Uniswag holds in football, basketball and lacrosse. The football award is described on the business’ website as “awarded to the best college uniform for the season.”

On its website, it lists the awards for football as, “Each week during the NCAA season, Uniswag reveals a top 10 countdown of uniforms worn during Game Day with the No. 1 spot winning the weekly award. At the end of the year, each team that won the weekly award is nominated to a fan vote for the overall Uniform of the Year award. Teams also have a chance to be nominated for a chance to win one of four sub awards: Military Uniform of the Year, Helmet of the Year and FCS Uniform of the Year.”

Oregon won the Throwback Uniform of the Year last season.
