ECU commit, daughter of ECU baseball alum earns all-area honor

Ella Tracy, the daughter of East Carolina University baseball alum Chad Tracy, was named to the first-team Charlotte Observer softball team.

She was a senior at Marvin Ridge High School in Waxhaw, just outside of Charlotte.

Tracy, who will attend and play for ECU starting this fall, posted the accomplishment on her X account. According to the newspaper’s website, she batted .486 with 34 hits and 27 runs as a senior. She had 21 homers for her career.

Tracy “battled back from injuries that required surgeries as a junior and senior,” the newspaper reported.
