ECU alum could be next defensive coordinator for Patriots

An ECU Alum could be switching teams in the NFL.

CBSSports.com reporter Matt Zenitz posted on X on Tuesday that new New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel has interest in making Detroit Lions defensive line coach Terrell Williams his defensive coordinator.

Williams and Vrabel worked together when both were with the Tennessee Titans. Vrabel was the head coach there while Williams was the defensive line coach and assistant head coach. Williams was with the Titans from 2018-23 then left for Detroit.

Williams has also coached on the defensive line for Oakland and Miami. He’s also worked at several colleges.
