ECU adds speedy, solid-hitting outfielder to 2026 roster

East Carolina will have a speedy outfielder who was also one of the top hitters in the country on its 2026 roster.

Jeff Sabater of NCAA Division II Millersville will join the Pirates as a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility remaining. The Lansdale, Penn., native hit .363 in 2025, going 66-for-182 with eight doubles, three triples and a homer. He also had 36 RBI and 63 runs.

Another eye-popping stat in 2025 was his 39 stolen bases in 43 attempts. In two seasons at Millersville, he had 96 stolen bases and batted .367 with 98 runs scored.
