The Dallas Cowboys gave an update on their newest player, former East Carolina star Shavon Revel, following his ACL injury and recovery.
Revel tore his left ACL and had surgery during the Pirates’ season in 2024. He’s on the road to recovery, but the Cowboys don’t feel they need to rush him. Because of that, Revel will likely start the season on the Physiclly Unable to Perform (PUP) list.
“I think he’ll start on PUP, but we’ll get him in here and see where he is,” Cowboys Executive Vice President Stephen Jones said, according to On3.com. “Dr. Dan Cooper [Cowboys team doctor] did the surgery, and they feel optimistic. This kid’s very motivated, this man’s very motivated and there’s obviously an opportunity here — he’s young — that he exceeds expectations and starts practice during training camp, but we also know it could be later than that.”
