Clayton McCulough emerges as one of top candidate to lead Marlins

by | Nov 2, 2024

ECU Alum & Dodgers first base coach Clayton McCullough has emerged as a strong candidate for the Marlins job.

McCullough has jumped to the top of the list after other possible candidates backed out. The Miami Herald reported that Guardians bench coach Craig Albernaz decided against the job after interviewing earlier in the week. Texas Rangers associate manager Will Venable was the other Marlins finalist.

Neither were offered the paper reports.

McCullough hasn’t yet interviewed in person, but that likely will change in the next few days.
