Clayton McCullough, rest of Marlins find out Tuesday if they get first pick in MLB draft

by | Dec 7, 2024

New Marlins Manager Clayton McCullough will find out with the rest of the team on Tuesday if the club will get the No. 1 pick in the MLB draft.

The Marlins and Rockies each have a 22.45% chance for the top pick. According to The Miami Herald, the Chicago White Sox, which had the worst record in baseball in 2024, can’t pick higher than 10th, because “a team that does not receive revenue sharing cannot pick in the lottery in consecutive years. (Chicago had the fifth pick in this past summer’s draft.)”
