The CFL has its big names, just like the NFL. Also, just like the NFL, there are those under-the-radar players who stand out and mean so much to their team.
In the case of the Montreal Alouettes, that player is ECU football alum Tyler Snead. He’s 5-foot-7 and 172 pounds but is larger than life on the football field. He’s made some big plays and helped the Alouettes stay competitive through injuries to other receivers.
Going into Week 10, he’s seventh in receiving yards (528) and eighth in catches (38). He’s also been targeted 52 times, tying him with fellow ECU alum and Ottawa receiver Justin Hardy.
The article by CFL.ca reports in part, “With injuries to Tyson Philpot and Austin Mack early in the season, Snead has stepped up to lead the Alouettes in receiving yards early in 2025.”
