He hit his solo homer in the seventh. After recording outs in his first two at-bats, he singled in the fifth and singled and drove in a run in the eighth.

Jeff Hoffman

The Blue Jays scored twice in the ninth inning for a 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Hoffman pitched the ninth with Toronto down a run. He walked one, but suffered no other damage. Bo Bichette and Addison Barger each hit solo homers in the bottom of the ninth to win it for the Blue Jays.

Hoffman improved to 6-2 and lowered his ERA to 5.52.

Carson Whisenhunt

He picked up the win in a wild 12-10 victory over Salt Lake.

Whisenhunt, now 7-4 on the season with a 4.10 ERA, started and went 5.2 innings, giving up four runs on nine hits with seven strikeouts and a walk. He struck out two in the third and sixth innings before his night ended.

Sacramento helped his cause with seven runs in the third inning and three more in the sixth. Whisenhunt’s four runs he gave up all came in the sixth.
