ECU alum Josh Grosz had a night-and-day 2024 season. Will 2025 be like the second half of his 2024 season?
The Hudson Valley Renegades got quite the performance from Grosz in the second half. The Instagram account YankeesFarm has been charting several of the New York Yankees’ minor league prospects during the offseason. Recently, they reported on Grosz.
“Josh Grosz put together a very good season! Grosz took the first half to adjust to the pros but with a start on June 28th, it all changed for him. In the second half of the season he was a completely different pitcher. Beginning June 28th, over the next 8 starts he would go on to allow just 3 ER over 52 Innings, pitching to a 0.87 ERA. In the final 11 Starts he would go 6-1 with a 1.27 ERA and 0.81 WHIP over 64 Innings with 31 Hits, 21 Walks and 57 Ks!
“Grosz went earn a mid season promotion to Hudson Valley: HV: 4-2 | 2.77 ERA – 1.08 WHIP | 39 IP – 22 H, 20 BB, 31 K”
It’s clear that big things are expected from Grosz in 2025.
