Watch: Gavin Williams, Guardians’ teammate, rate some NY pizza

by | Jun 10, 2025

One thing about New York City that nearly everyone likes is the food.

The Big Apple has some big pizza, subs, fine dining and many other places to satisfy your hunger. If you’re a Major League Baseball star like East Carolina alum and Cleveland Guardians pitcher Gavin Williams, one place just isn’t enough.

Williams and Guardians’ teammate Hunter Gaddis were recently in New York to face the Yankees. The two went on a tour of the city to try three of the hot spots known for their pizza. In the Guardians’ social media episode of “XXL Bites,” Williams and his teammate give their take on the slices at Ray’s Pizza, $1.50 Fresh Pizza and Sacco Pizza.

Watch the video to see which one Williams and Gaddis liked the best. Hint: It’s the one Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy recently gave a thumbs-up.
