SI.com: Expect a big year for Cardinals’ Zay Jones

by | Jul 6, 2025

The Arizona Cardinals are due for a big season in 2025.

The team finished 8-9 last season and have the tools to compete in the NFC West. Among those players who can make an impact this season is East Carolina football alum Zay Jones.

Jones had a 2024 worth forgetting. After signing with the Cardinals as a free agent from Jacksonville following a 34-catch, 321-yard season over nine games, he was suspended for the first part of the season due to a violation of conduct rules. When he returned, he had just eight catches for 84 yards.

However, SI.com’s Richie Bradshaw has faith in Jones. He has him listed as one of three sleepers on offense to watch this season for the Cardinals.

Bradshaw writes in part, “I truly do think that Jones could revive his career and reestablish himself as one of the league’s best slot receivers. After all, he’s not that far removed from his 2022 campaign, when he finished second on the Jacksonville Jaguars in receptions (82), receiving yards (823), and touchdowns (5).”
