BRISTOL, Conn. – Seven East Carolina football players have been named to the 2026 Pro Football Network Preseason All-American Conference Team according to an announcement Monday. With their selections, 18 Pirates have earned preseason honors heading into the 2026 season.
DB Zyeir Gamble is the lone first team selection, while DL Jasiyah Robinson was tabbed as a second teamer. Five Pirates earned third team inclusion which include DL Preston Carr, OL Ethan Kramer, DB Kevon Merrell Jr., TE Ismael Smith Flores and OL Bryce Weaver.
The Pirates will open the 2026 season on Saturday, Sept. 5 when it travels to Tuscaloosa, Ala. to take on Alabama at Saban Field inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 12 noon (ET) and will be televised on ABC. Season ticket orders are currently on sale, with packages starting at just $75 for the six-game home slate at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium this fall.
