Pirates in baseball: Zach Agnos solid again in relief for Isotopes

by | Apr 7, 2025

ECU alum Zach Agnos made pretty quick work in his latest relief appearance on Sunday for Albuquerque.

He came in during the sixth inning of the Isotopes’ 9-8 loss to Salt Lake. He did not factor in the decision but did pitch 1.1 innings. He gave up a hit, struck out three and walked one to drop his ERA to 2.70. He got a strikeout to end the inning with the bases loaded.

Salt Lake won the game in the ninth inning as Albuquerque fell to 4-5 on the season.

He was 0-for-2 but drove in a run on a sacrifice fly in a 6-2 win over Jersey Shore. His sac fly sparked a five-run fifth inning after it tied the game at 2-2.

Hudson Valley won two of three in the opening-season series.
