NC State could possibly look to rename Carter-Finley Stadium

NC State is exploring its options in regards to possibly renaming Carter-Finley Stadium.

According to WRAL and other news outlets,NC State has hired a firm to consider potential corporate partners. The move comes as athletic departments are expected to be able to share revenues with athletes.

“With the blessing of the Carter and Finley families, we are able to pursue this opportunity to enhance our program in the new landscape of college athletics,” said Boo Corrigan, NC State’s director of athletics. “We are grateful for their support through the years and for their understanding of our need to explore new revenue sources to invest in the development and success of our student-athletes.”
