Memphis put on probation for academic violations

Yahoo Sports is reporting that the University of Memphis has been placed on academic probation for two years.

Memphis, which is in the AAC with East Carolina University, was placed on the probation and fined as a result of academic-integrity violations, Yahoo Sports Reports.

An investigation by the NCAA determined the violation stemmed from an academic counselor paying two softball student-athletes to do course work for an athlete on the men’s basketball team.
