Take heart, Cowboys fans. Help is on the way.
The Dallas Cowboys’ defense has been atrocious in the first two weeks of the NFL season. They are really lucky to be 1-1 because the Giants are so bad.
#DallasCowboys owner and GM Jerry Jones tells @1053SS, @rjchoppy and @BobbyBeltTX that any upgrades in the secondary will come internally, including rookie CB Shavon Revel.
“Revel may be one of the best young corners that I’ve seen us put on the roster…”

Dallas gave up over 500 yards of offense to the Giants in a 40-37 overtime win on Sunday. They ONLY dropped the opener to the Eagles, 24-20.
The Cowboys are so desperate they signed defensive end Jadevon Clowney to a deal after he played last season with the Carolina Panthers.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was on a radio show on Monday and said ECU alum and rookie Shavon Revel Jr. is close to returning from his Non-Football Injury status. He was put there during the preseason, meaning he would have to miss the first four games of the season.
Revel is slated to return for Week 5 after he tore his ACL last season playing for ECU.
“Revel may be one of the best young corners that I’ve seen us put on the roster,” Jones told 105.3 The Fan.
The Landry Hat’s Marcus Mosher wrote in part, “If Revel can get on the field anytime in October, it wouldn’t be a huge shock to see him replace Kaiir Elam in the starting lineup. Even if he’s just a backup, getting another long and athletic cornerback on the field would be a sight for sore eyes.”
