ECU alum and Winnipeg Blue Bombers offensive lineman Stanley Bryant was among those invited to pick their favorites for certain awards in the CFL this season.
Bryant, regarded as one of the best offensive linemen to play in the league, is likely to be in his final season of pro ball before retirement. He signed a one-year deal to return to the Blue Bombers for this season. So it only makes sense that he would be among the stars to take part.
To no surprise, Bryant picked the Blue Bombers to win the Western Final and advance to the Grey Cup again. He also thinks the league will produce multiple 5,000-yard passers.

The preseason starts Monday with Calgary Stampeders and former ECU tight end Ryan Jones against the British Columbia Lions and former ECU defensive back DaShaun Amos. After three weeks of preseason, the regular season starts Thursday, June 5, when the Ottawa Red Blacks and former ECU receiver Justin Hardy take on the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
