East Carolina freshman pitcher Kendall Frost has been named to D1Softball’s D100 Freshman Watch List ahead of the 2025 season according to an announcement by the organization on Wednesday morning.
The Roswell, Ga. native was named the 2023 GADC Player of the Year and GACA 6A Pitcher of the Year in 2022 and 2023 and finished her high school career at Pope High School with two runner ups and a state championship. The Region 7AAAAAA Pitcher of the Year was ranked 19th in Extra Innings Softball Top 100 and named to Extra Innings 18U All-Summer Team.
Frost holds the all-time school record at Pope in most wins, consecutive scoreless innings pitched (37.1) and most saves. In the Greyhounds’ championship season, Frost helped lead Pope to a 35-1 record in 2022, earning 6A All-State Pitcher of the Year and 6A All-Region Pitcher honors. She was named Cobb County Pitcher of the Year in back-to-back years and was tabbed First Team All-State and 6A All-Region First Team Pitcher and Second Team Hitter as a sophomore in 2021. As a freshman, Frost guided Pope to an appearance in the 6A State Championship in 2020, earning 6A Region Pitcher of the Year and Second Team All-State honors.
Frost and the Pirates will get their 2025 season started on Friday, Feb. 7 at 5 p.m. against Virginia in the Gamecock Invitational.
