ECU men’s assistant basketball coach leaves position

East Carolina University assistant men’s basketball coach Reggie Williams announced on social media on Monday that he was leaving the program.

Williams wrote in part on his Instagram account, “At this time, I will no longer be serving as Men’s Basketball Coach as I will begin looking for new opportunities.

“Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for standing with me. Thank you for supporting ECU Men’s Basketball.”

Williams completed his second season as an assistant coach during the 2024-25 season. Before that, he served as Director of Player Personnel for the program after arriving in September of 2022, according to his ECU bio.

He played professional basketball in the NBA and other levels. He had time with the Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets, Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs and New Orleans Pelicans.
