EbonyBird.com: Keaton Mitchell will prove his worth again in 2025

by | Jul 2, 2025

If you follow East Carolina football and former running back Keaton Mitchell, you know his recent history.

He came into the NFL and tore it up for the Baltimore Ravens, instantly becoming an offensive weapon. However, his 2023 rookie season was cut short when he tore his ACL, ending his season with 396 yards rushing and two touchdowns in eight games.

He returned to play late in 2024 but was still limited in play. With Derrick Henry in the backfield, there was no need to rush Mitchell has he recovered from his ACL tear.

Now, in 2025, Mitchell is healthy and turned many heads at OTAs and mandatory training camps. In fact, EbonyBird.com, a Fansided website that tracks the Ravens, said in one part of a published story that, “Keaton Mitchell is being overlooked.”

In fact, Evan Mazza, who wrote this story on Mitchell, said in part,Now, Mitchell is fully recovered from the torn ACL and could factor into the Ravens’ plans at running back. His speed and burst are a combination you cannot keep off the field. Mitchell could be a guy the Ravens turn to as Henry’s successor.”

However, he also pointed to a contrast in his thoughts from Pro Football Focus’ Trevor Sikkema, who believes the Ravens should move away from Mitchell.
