Discussion: Will Shavon Revel Jr. start Week 1 for the Cowboys? Where will he play?

by | May 17, 2025

After the Dallas Cowboys’ recent rookie minicamp, questions continue to swirl about former East Carolina football star Shavon Revel Jr., his health and availability for the start of the season.

He stated he was feeling good and showed it by moving around and working out some. Though he was limited from full contact and activity since he’s recovering from surgery on his left knee, he did cause a buzz with his moves and actions.

“Right now I can pretty much do everything,” Revel said, according to BloggingTheBoys.com, a SB Nation Dallas Cowboys website. “Running straight line, cutting, haven’t gotten too much into that, just trying to take it day by day, trying to take it slow.”

The writers of BloggingTheBoys.com discuss topics involving the Cowboys each week. Revel’s status was one of those topics this week.

Shavon Revel Jr. was at rookie minicamp showing good freedom of movement. His comments also add further intrigue that he could be fully fit for Week 1. Where do you predict he starts on Week 1- CB1, CB2, nickel back? Will he finish as the most productive cornerback for Dallas this year?
