ECU baseball alum Connor Norby will be activated from the Miami Marlins’ injured list and is expected to play third base Friday against the New York Mets.
Norby has been sidelined since July 13 with a hand injury. He has been cleared to take batting practice and was recently on rehab assignment for about two weeks with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. He’s gone 10-for-25 (.400) with three homers and six RBI.
Norby started the season on the injured list. He is batting .241 (61-for-253) with six homers, 26 RBI and seven stolen bases and a .289 on-base percentage.
