Charlotte latest AAC school to fire head football coach

Playing ECU has had mostly bad outcomes later in this season for some AAC football coaches.

Charlotte coach Biff Poggi was fired on Monday after going 6-16 in two seasons, according to The Associated Press.

Charlotte lost 59-24 to South Florida on Saturday, its fourth loss by 30 or more points this season. The 49ers (3-7) have lost four straight games since beating East Carolina 55-24 on Oct. 6.

Florida Atlantic and Temple have fired their coaches after losses to the Pirates.
