One day after picking up a walk and scoring a run for the Toronto Blue Jays, he hit a walk-off solo home run to lift the Jays past the Yankees, 6-5. He hit a two-out, two-strike pitch to near dead center field for the winner.

He was met at home by a mob after rounding the bases. They even found the ball he hit and presented it to him after the game.
“This is my first #WALKOFF homer ever. Little league, high school, College, EVER.”

It was believed Cunningham would only get to play in Sunday’s game. He came on as a pinch hitter in the eighth inning for the Jays and drew a walk. After a wild pitch moved him to second, he scored the last run on a double by Christian Bethancourt to give the Blue Jays a 6-2 win over the Atlanta Braves.
With that finish, he might stick around a bit longer now before heading to his minor league assignment.
