Another former member of the ECU football team has announced he will be playing for a new team.
Zakye Barker, a linebacker for the Pirates, announced Tuesday he would be playing for SMU. The school also announced the news on its X account.
An All-Conference selection and a productive tackler from the north side of Atlanta.

Barker was an all-conference selection this past season. He had 86 total tackles, 29 solo. He had 12 tackles for loss, two sacks and two forced fumbles.
He announced he was leaving ECU on Dec. 9.
