East Carolina Baseball’s Ethan Norby gained the honor for American Conference Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon. Norby was able to receive this honor for his astounding performance in the opening game of the series against UTSA.

This is the second time this season that an East Carolina player has received the Conference Pitcher of the Week honor, with this being the first in conference play.

Norby’s starting performance on Friday made career strides and season highs for the left-hander. Able to hold off UTSA for 7.0 innings, having a season high of 12 strikeouts against the Roadrunner lineup, shutting them out, and only giving up one hit and three walks on the day.
