ECU baseball alum Trey Yesavage has had quite the first season of pro baseball.
He’s made his way from Low-A Dunedin in the minors to pitching in the majors for the Toronto Blue Jays. His rise this season has made him a candidate for the MiLB Pitching Prospect of the Year. Yesavage is joined by Griffin Herring (Rockies), who was a sixth-rounder in the 2024 MLB Draft, and Jonah Tong of the Mets, who was a seventh-rounder in the 2022 draft.
The winner will be announced on the MiLB Awards Show this Monday at 8 p.m.
