ECU baseball alum Josh Grosz, the Rockies’ No 22 prospect, did everything but get the win on Friday for the Spokane Indians.
He dominated over six innings, striking out a season-high 12. He allowed a solo home run, three other hits and a walk. He threw a season-high 104 pitches, 66 for strikes. The only thing he didn’t get was a win as Spokane lost to Tri-City, 3-0.
Grosz has struck out 21 over his last two starts to push his season total to 132 strikeouts in 119.1 innings between Hudson Valley and Spokane.
